Dear Swimmers

As promised here are the operating procedures that we would ask you all the follow when coming to the pool. We understand that this will be a bit of a change for everyone and won’t be what you are used to. However we must have these procedures in place if we want to open and operate safely. We also please ask that you are especially considerate of others at this time. As I mentioned in my previous email we ask that everyone brings a face mask with them. PLEASE READ THE FOLLWING VERY CAREFULLY AS IT WILL ENSURE THAT YOUR VISIT TO US GOES AS WELL AND AS SAFELY AS POSSIBLE IN THESE TIMES.

On arrival we would ask that everyone has their swimming costume on under their clothes. On the patio outside the pool and in front of the first set of french doors there will be a gazebo. Inside the gazebo you will see a table with some trays on it for storing your clothes and belongings. We would ask that you wipe down the tray before use with the sanitiser and paper towels provided. You can then get undressed inside the pool hall closing the french doors behind you and placing your tray on the bench provided.

Once in the pool a family group or people in a ‘bubble’ do not need to socially distance, however if you do not fit this criteria you must obey normal social distancing guidelines. You will see that the steps at the deep end have been taped off and these can only be used in emergencies. With regards to entering the pool we would ask that you use the steps at the shallow end and avoid using the hand rail, and this also applies when you exit.

On leaving the pool we ask that everyone gets out at least 2 minutes before the end of their allotted time. This will then give you enough time the collect your clothes from the bench.

Once you have your clothes please make your way to the corridor following the arrows. Unfortunately the shower and changing rooms will remain closed. The toilet will be open however please can you only use this once the previous group has vacated the corridor. With regards to changing there is 1 bench in the corridor near the pool where you will see hand sanitiser is available. The second bench opposite the toilet is for putting your shoes on.

Once dry and changed please exit like you normally would with your tray through the main door. Please could you then place your tray back on the table in the gazebo.

We do ask the people do not stay around the pool once their slot has finished (unless when using the farm shop or patisserie).

We appreciate that this is not what you’re used to and is far from convenient. We have taken external advice on this from a number of different sources and we think that this is the safest way forward. The changing rooms being closed I know will be especially awkward for people however looking at all the advice and what other facilities are doing for the time being this is the safest option. We will of course be reviewing this on a weekly basis and you will be kept up to date as soon as anything changes.

With regards to your agreements you will see on the board on your way out that we have done everyone new ones stating how many slots you have left. Please can you return this on your next visit like normal.
